Install Dozenfold on Shopify

Shopify is a ready-made Dozenfold integration. Use the Shopify installation link to install the app. You need a Shopify account that can install apps and edit the active theme.

1. Install the app

  1. Open the Dozenfold installation link supplied to your team.
  2. Select the Shopify store you want to monitor.
  3. Review and approve the requested Shopify permissions.
  4. Open Dozenfold from Shopify Admin after installation completes.

Dozenfold provisions the storefront monitoring components during installation. If this setup cannot finish, the workspace keeps the failure visible and links you to the recovery action instead of showing an empty successful state.

2. Enable the theme app embed

  1. In Shopify Admin, open Online Store → Themes.
  2. Choose Customize for the active theme.
  3. Open App embeds.
  4. Enable Dozenfold and save the theme.

Return to Dozenfold and open Settings. The workspace may continue to show setup guidance until the first monitored session is received. Shopify does not provide a fully reliable saved-toggle fact for every theme state, so real incoming evidence is the final confirmation.

3. Respect customer privacy

The theme monitor loads Shopify’s customer-privacy API and waits for an allowed analytics decision. While the API or required permission is unavailable, it keeps capture closed. The Shopify Web Pixel is configured to run only when analytics processing is allowed. Visitors who deny the required consent do not produce a Dozenfold session identifier. Revoking permission stops capture and discards queued events; a later permitted session starts fresh.

4. Generate initial evidence

Visit the published storefront and follow a normal shopping journey: view a product, add it to the cart, and continue toward checkout. Do not intentionally break the live store. Initial evidence can take a few minutes to appear.
